2020 Fall Schedule
(Temporary Changes August 17, 2020)
Upon reopening, our regular Sunday schedule is temporarily suspended in favor of Special Event trains that will operate with limited capacity from Sunol. We have new protocols in place to comply with our local Alameda County Public Health guidelines.

Sunol Gift Shop is temporarily closed due to the pandemic.
Please bear with us as so many unknowns prevent us from planning any Members Only events and Member’s Discount for special events at this time.

On steam/diesel days, the steam locomotive pulls the train from Niles to Sunol, and the diesel locomotive pulls the train from Sunol to Niles (the steam engine follows separately), so whether you board at either Sunol or Niles, you will ride behind a steam locomotive on the Niles to Sunol portion of your trip.

Tickets are valid for one round trip. You may ride one-way on one train, get off, and return on a later train if you wish.
Reservations are not required for regular Sunday trains. Just go to your preferred boarding location 15-20 minutes before departure, purchase your tickets, and board the train!
