History
Built new for Southern Pacific to replace SP’s older heavyweight baggage equipment. Retired 12/23/70. Leased to Amtrak, car was later purchased by a private owner and the interior converted into a house. PLA acquired the car and moved it to Niles Canyon in the big move of Jan 8, 2005. Car converted and currently in use as a generator car with an added bar and bathrooms for passenger operations. In service, Brightside, CA.
